Every initiated Delta Gamma who graduates or leaves college life becomes an alumna. Because Delta Gamma is an international organization in existence for more than 130 years, the number of DG alumnae continues to grow, with DGs living and contributing in every corner of the world.

Alumnae residing around the Palo Alto area can choose to join the Palo Alto Alumnae Chapter. Currently ther are more than 75 active alumnae chapters offering sisterhood, philanthropy, social and business connections to DG alums.

What does the Palo Alto Alumnae Chapter do?

Our alumnae chapter offers a variety of programs and events to meet the needs and interests of our diverse membership. These include community involvement projects, networking opportunities, philanthropic projects, social events, guest speaker events, and aiding our local collegiate chapters at Santa Clara University and San Jose State University. We also offer "special interest" groups, such as the recent graduates "Young DGs".

Benefits of Membership

  • Access to new friends, new ideas, and new opportunities for continued growth and fulfillment
  • Training for effective leadership, community research, and personal development
  • Exposure to women from a variety of fields, interests and backgrounds

General Meetings

Palo Alto is always excited to meet local sisters; whether you’ve lived here for years and just decided you have some free time or you’re new to the area. General meetings are held monthly, September through June, and include an array of activities for all interests. We look forward to meeting you!

Prospective Members

Send us an email with your name, address and phone number if you are interested in more information about joining the Palo Alto Alumnae Chapter, and we will send you a membership packet. You will also be contacted directly to see if you have any further questions. You will be kept informed of volunteer and social opportunities throughout the year. Once you join our chapter you’ll receive a directory of members.

Our Current Members

The Palo Alto Alumnae Chapter of Delta Gamma is a non-profit organization comprised of 100 active members whose ages span seven decades (20's through 90's.)

Supporting Delta Gamma

Upon initiation all Delta Gammas agree to pay annual dues to the Fraternity for the first 50 years of membership. Alumnae and collegians' dues and fees are the only support for our Fraternity, which is a separate entity from the Foundation.

Your dues go to support efforts such as:

  • Maintaining Executive Offices
  • Operating budget for the local and international organization
  • Producing and mailing the annual chapter newsletter
  • Supporting monthly alumnae events
  • Funding the Delta Gamma Foundation and other philanthropic causes
Annual Dues
  • $25 - First 8 years since year of initiation
  • $40 - 9 to 49 years since year of initiation
  • $25 - 50 years since year of initiation
Voluntary Contributions

We also accept voluntary contributions in any amount, which you may designate as either contributions to our foundation or to friendship. Our foundation fund is donated directly to groups assisting the visually impaired, and our friendship fund contributes to our local chapter general fund.

Young DG Group

The Young DG group, a subset of the larger Palo Alto Alumnae group, was started in 2001 by Brittany Emling Stevens. Formerly known as the Dinner Brats, the group is comprised of local Delta Gamma alums in their twenties to mid thirties. We typically have about 5-6 evening and/or weekend events throughout the year in addition to the regularly scheduled calendar events for the whole Alumnae group, including a wine tasting night, a baseball game, Sex in the City viewing night, Purse Party, and Pub Crawl in downtown Palo Alto. Come meet, reconnect, and enjoy some quality hanging out time with other young graduates and professionals as part the Palo Alto Alumnae experience. If you would like more information please contact Roslyn Fogarty ΕΣ, at tulip4769@yahoo.com . Hope to see you out with us!
